I educate people of all ages, levels and ability on the Art, Technique, Composition and History of Dance. I create a community atmosphere that is empowering and inclusive in its approach. Drawing connections from Dance information to students’ everyday lives is important to me. I honor historical information while also using the classroom as a place to question, experiment, and play. This gives voice to students’ current perspectives in the room, and in turn, progresses the Field by involving others in personal dialogue with Dance. I encourage students to take risks, within a safe and supportive environment, that spark curiosity and knowledge from their own moving body. I seek out individuals’ full, physical potential. I invite each student to move and think with awareness, connect as a group, and build skills that are developmentally appropriate while fostering growth.
